Exmoor Coast Boat Trips
Usual sailing times are 11am & 12 noon,
(afternoon trips when tides allow).
Enquire on Lynmouth Quay before 11am
or try contacting Matthew on 01598 753207
Often only one trip per day.
Tides determine sailing times - as does the weather - take the opportunity when one occurs!
The Bristol Channel has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world.
Our family have been Lynmouth boatmen for generations.
Over the years we have
built up a detailed knowledge
of Exmoor’s heritage coast.
Please ask us to show you remains of the limestone trade and the ruined Victorian pier, or tell the stories of the paddle steamers and the famous Lynmouth Lifeboat.
Her sister ship, Louisa II, can be seen at the Glen Lyn Gorge together with an account the of the epic overland launch to Porlock.
Strong currents and eddies attract fish; food for the birds, seals and dolphins.

Our licensed sightseeing boats also fish for lobster and run mackerel drifts
amidst wildlife and magnificent scenery.

We can get within ten metres of the seabirds
which colonise the towering cliffs above
known as the “Hidden Face of Exmoor”.

The most beautiful part of Exmoor
has the highest sea cliffs in England,
broken by deep wooded river gorges,
and charmingly isolated sheltered bays.
Space often limited to 12 passengers
although we are licensed for 30 when we have additional crew available.
Minimum of 6 passengers required for sailing.
One hour sight seeing trip to Woody Bay £10 each
One hour drift fishing for mackerel £10 each
Please view the rest of this site or telephone 01598 753207 for more information.
Better still, just come to Lynmouth, before 11am if possible for ease of car parking,
and find the Glen Lyn Gorge on the crossroads and the boats in the harbour 200 yards away.
We hope you enjoy your visit!
